Millions of pioneers have issues with their Pi KYC Verification in 2022. This is one of the main reasons Open Mainnet is taking quite some time.
Now, what is KYC?
Similar to financial institutions, cryptocurrency platforms like Pi Network, must follow Know-Your-Customer regulations (KYC). The objective is to better safeguard and uphold customer assets and privacy during the onboarding procedures. Same is true for Pi KYC.
First of all, for Pi Network to have a very successful Open Mainnet launch, it NEEDS to first validate the identities of all pi coin miners. Those mining Pi on their phone have to have their identities submitted to Pi Network to control security and avoid fraudulent activities. We do Know-Your-Customer (KYC) because of this.

So, back to our topic of Pi KYC. Here are vital things Nicolas Kokkalis, the team lead for Pi Network said about Pi KYC Verification for 2022.
Pi KYC Questions and Answers
Question: Will there be a place in the app to see how many KYC’ed users we have in the community?
Nicolas: Yeah, the answer is MAYBE. The wallets actually are publicly viewable on the blockchain anyways, so at least the strict subset of people who were KYC’ed and have already migrated to Mainnet will be publicly accessible on the blockchain, so you can just count how many wallets that there are. But we may come up with an even nicer UI maybe somewhere in the app or on the main page that just displays the count.
Question: How long should pioneers with the chance to resubmit KYC wait?
Chengdiao: Resubmission would be a useful remedy only for a few cases. Cases like image recognition failures. We are working on a feature for that. Also, If someone is actually stuck because of their name appeal, they should wait for the name appeal feature to come out to resolve that.
Question: Does Pi Core Team (PCT) have plans to notify pioneers to go do their KYC?
Chengdiao: Yes! there is already a feature actually halfway. There is some scalability issue and not fully fledged to for people to use. I think it’s somewhere in the Mainnet checklist. Oh the last step! it’s like inviting your teams to KYC, so this is the mechanism and feature we thought of so as to mobilize the inactive or other members who haven’t KYC’ed to KYC. In a sense it’s a decentralized motivation, mechanism. Each person is motivating their own security circle or referral team to pass KYC because they have their own motivation as well.

Question: Can you give us some Mainnet and KYC Statistics?
Nicolas: So currently, there is a little bit over 1 billion Pi coins that is moved to Mainnet. It’s 1.046 billion, something like that, and about 80% of that is locked for six months or more, that is about 813 million Pi and some more. We have migrated about 1.3 million people to Mainnet – that means that this 1 billion Pi belongs to those 1.3 million people, and there is currently about 2.6 million about double that who have passed KYC.

Cho hỏi,khi nào thì kyc có sẵn trong trình duyệt pi, để tất cả tiên phong PI được chứng thực kyc và tiến tới mainnet pi, mình vô ý gửi kháng nghị sửa tên,nhưng tên tuổi của mình đúng với tài khoản, mình vẫn chờ được kyc nhưng không thấy mời, và còn rất, rất nhiều những tài khoản cũ chưa được kyc, cảm ơn đã lắng nghe,chúc mừng PI

Pi Core Team is always doing what is best for the project.
It means that those who have done kyc can invite their teammates to do kyc. This info is really good.
They are working on that feature.

My teammates performed KYC successfully but no share of PI has been migrated to my Mainnet wallet. Only the share attributable to my own mining has been migrated after my own KYC was successful.
Is this feature not live yet, that PI earned due to your teammates attribution are not migrated to Mainnet, yet?
