We want to make you understand how Pi Civil War started and why it is trending😂😂
This is meant to be a funny war actually, if you think about it.
Now, if you have been in the Pi Network community for a while now, that is, if you have been mining Pi cryptocurrency on your phone you are probably very aware of the fact that there is a portion of Pioneers (Pi coin miners), who support a consensus value of $314,159 for 1 Pi and another portion of pioneers who support a lower value of say, $314 or $31.4 or even $10 for 1 Pi.
Also, in the Pi Community, there seem to be some influencers with a large following (and by large, we mean 50,000+ followers). Among such are @WoodyLightYearX and Pi Network Community π @PiNetworkNews1
Now, @PiNetworkNews1 thinks it’s absurd for the price of 1 Pi to be valued at $314,159 since it defies how much market cap a cryptocurrency token should reasonably be and some economic factors he/she states as reasons Pi should not have a value of $314,159. Nevertheless, there is also @WoodyLightYearX who thinks that due to the scarcity of Pi now and in the future, and the fraudulence of the traditional banking system, Pi should be valued at $314,159.
It is with this back-and-forth debate, which had been going on for a long while, that afterwards, a Pi moderator who seemed to be a representative of the Pi Core Team by name of @ihatejam in the Pi Chat on the Pi App, made a statement addressing how ridiculous it was to have a value of $314,159 per Pi and also addressed @WoodyLightYearX in another message on the platform saying;
In a bid to prove the insanity of the said value @WoodyLightYearX supports, @PiNetworkNews1 set out to purchase Woody’s house with 1000 Pi.
We all thought this was a joke until @PiNetworkNews1 actually sent Woody 1000 Pi,
Well, the shared images prove that @PiNetworkNews1 made some payment but then by @WoodyLightYearX saying the buyer “looses 1000 Pi” meant that he has not yet sold his house neither does he plan to fulfil his part in the transaction.
Later on, @WoodyLightYearX shared a tweet about opening a Mental Hospital to treat pioneer patients so they can return to normal.
There is also another pioneer called @bronafide, who seems to disagree with the $314,159 value for Pi and shot back at @WoodyLightYearX in his mental hospital tweet tease. He reverted with this tweet below.
Pioneers, and that is how the Pi Civil War hashtag began.
